Seeing that the 12th and 13th gen both got a driver bundle update for a few days now (which has the Intel® Iris® Xe updated driver), and there’s nothing for the 11th gen, does that imply the 11th gen is being dropped? Or is it waiting for some specific driver that’s 11th gen specific?
Why would it imply it’s being dropped?
Come on, you’ve been around long enough to know that there is no reason to expect driver and firmware updates to all happen at the same time. Even if some might be together, random stuff happens to delay things at times. Is this clickbait? The thread title. Come on here.
Because we are long overdue for a driver bundle update (approaching 24 months without driver bundle update). I just happened to be a pessimist who looks at what’s there as well as what’s not there to plan for the worst:
And if anything, the update for 11th gen ought to come before 12th and 13th gen…
The following is the 12th gen updated drivers (which ought to share the same graphics, wifi and bluetooth drivers) …so why aren’t we seeing the 11th gen driver bundle updated?
It is the only version which officially supports Windows 10. Perhaps it needs additional validation, or else other people with a propensity for seeing conspiracies everywhere would complain about them dropping support for Windows 10 ![]()
I thought of that, too…but this note classified the driver bundle for Windows 11:
@MJ1 Plus, even with me being a pessimist, I did also mention / ask “Or is it waiting for some specific driver that’s 11th gen specific?”…
Yeah, your thread title could have been that. “Is something delaying the 11th gen driver bundle?” But you went with the clickbait one instead. Please.
