Charged it up, I have 2x16gb kingston ram and a wd black sn770 1tb
The power light turns on but the screen stays blank, I have tried swapping and reseating ram and m.2, still no sign of framework logo on screen

How long have you waited? First-ever-power-on memory training can take a while on this platform (minutes).
Have you tested swapping the ram to different slots? Only booted with one in different slots?
You can also try to unplug the internal display from the motherboard and check if external screen works
I think it’s a bit fussy about the RAM.
AIUI it needs to be DDR5-5600 where the 5600 speed is a normal JEDEC profile (rather than a special overclocking profile)
But maybe the newer BIOSs are better at this.
Are there any blinking lights on the side where the power cable plugs in?
What is the exact model number of the ram?
My FW13 did not had any signs on the screen on 1st boot, with contact with the support I discovered that my display cable was not seated correctly on the display end, after carefully trying to insert it to the end, started to work.
A good way to check if your laptop did actually POSTed, try to press the caps lock key and see if led lights up, if it works, then is the display/cable.
