I recently purchased a Kiwi KVM as I found it useful to control other machines quickly and thought that it would be nice if that dongle was an expansion card that was already in my Framework and I could just hook a USB-C and HDMI into the machine. At the end the dongle also just runs a USB-C cable, maybe it needs a micro HDMI connector or it sticks out a little bit.
The company that sells them is called Cytrence.
I used my GPD Pocket 3 with KVM module before but I found it to be a tad too small for everyday use and the usage was quite a bit more messy in that I couldn’t control the host machine while I have the USB plugged over KVM all control is going to the target machine. While Kiwi is really like using a VM and offers a few extra quality of life improvements like file transfers and network access.
Would you also find such a card useful or is that too niche? Does this already exist and I don’t know about?
