commit: d838902145019aa1be7caf7bd9740a559ba3d700

Kernel: 7.0.14, BIOS: 3.05 on AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series
(AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 w/ Radeon 890M)

When upgrading the kernel to 7.1.13 and 7.2.8 i get to the text login, and few moments later (when the graphical login manager should appear) the display stops responding. Ctrl-Alt-FX does not work, SYS+REQ+REISUB does work but it shows no output on the display. SSH is available.
I tried with the following kernel args

  • amdgpu.sg_display=0 amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x410
  • mdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10
  • amdgpu.sg_display=0 amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10

With no luck. I’m back to 7.0 and it does work but I’d like to upgrade the system, anybody has experienced something similar?
