Looking for help adjusting trackpad scroll speed on Ubuntu

For Firefox specifically, assuming you’re using Wayland, try disabling mousewheel.system_scroll_override.enabled and apz.gtk.kinetic_scroll.enabled in about:config and see how that feels. This fixed it for me. I was getting insane scroll speeds in Firefox on Ubuntu 21.04

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find anything. My Framework is running Arch (dualbooted with Windows 10 via an expansion card). My trackpad works beautifully. It’s really smooth, gestures work with GNOME the same way they do with macOS. There’s one small issue though. While keys are being pressed, the trackpad is disabled (except for full clicks). Trackpad issues on Linux: no pinching and vertical scrolling too fast

I run pop!_os 21.04 and the trackpad generally works very well. However, I have two major issues: Two-finger vertical scrolling is way too fast, making it hard to slowly scroll down a page. Changing the touchpad speed in Settings doesn’t affect the two-finger scroll speed. Horizontal scrolling works just fine. Pinching doesn’t work, including in programs (like Figma) that usually support it. Anyone else experienced those, or has suggestions on how to fix it?

OSX-style trackpad gestures in Linux

The trackpad is absolutely fantastic and despite not having used an Apple device for years, I found myself trying to use the three- and four-finger gestures. Odd bug for trackpad not working initially: (bit me as well)

FIXED: trackpad in linux

Downgrade libinput to 1.17.1-1. Version 18 has a bug where it wont work with some trackpads. This is why some distros like Ubuntu work fine with the trackpad and ones like Arch that used the latest release of libinput wont work.
