M.2 Adapter Thermal Pads

PSA: The thermal pads that come with the M.2 adapter don’t exactly survive being removed and reused. They’ll fall apart leaving small chunks on the board and all over the components on your SSD, with what’s left of the thermal pads looking like a pitted/torn mess like the surface of the moon.

Since most laptops don’t use thermal pads anyway, including the Framework 13, I opted to just reinstall without thermal pads this time rather than getting replacement pads or reusing what was left of the originals.

Yeah, if someone really has an issue of their SSDs thermally throttling, I’d suggest rather modding the fans to have some holes that expel air into the SSD bay. Like, e.g. what’s been done in Dell XPS 9700
