Hey all! Just had a quick question in if anyone made a preorder and then emailed after to make a change to the pre order for the fw16. How quick donyou find the experienc ewith thst is and is there any issues thay arise? I should be expecting my prep email in about a week or a bit more for batch 20. Just want to make sure the change goes through before I get mjne shipped.
I’ve made changes to pre-orders. The changes were made very quickly by support and I didn’t have any issues.
Just be aware, some changes will require you to actually cancel your pre-order and create a new one. Changes to the CPU, for example. And possibly changes to the dedicated GPU. But if you just want to add/remove accessories, change RAM amount, etc., you should be able to do that. I changed my keyboard option.

I originally ordered 1x32 ram. Added a second one later through support. Change was made in 24 to 48 hours. No issues

I also changed my Keyboard option in the pre-order. It took less than a day and my pre-order reflects it now.
I am so glad you said that last part because I also only changed my keyboard option that is a relief. I am aware they don’t respond on weekends and Monday is a holiday so they may be a little late on the response, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t completely screwed thanks!
Awesome! I know they are gonna take a little longer since I emailed during memorial day weekend, which was probably the worst timing, but I trust they will get it done as they have for you and others thanks!
Also do you happen to know of a way to see tickets you have submitted and their status (if there is a way)
I don’t see a way of seeing the status. But I got emails from them when they had done it. It was then reflected in my order:
Originally I had the bog standard US keyboard. My price didn’t change on the pre-order but it became very obvious that I now had the Linux Keyboard
I swapped some things I ordered with other options and even added more things to my order and it was done within about 24 hours without any back and forth questioning. It was just done immediately after I put in the request.
Sounds great thank you! I blame myself for deciding to email at the tail end of the work week and during memorial day weekend lol. I trust them to get to it whenever they can. Thanks!
