Monitor via daisy-chained Thunderbolt 3 dock intermittently missing after resume

Hey,

About 8 months ago I bought an AMD Ryzen AI 300 series Framework 13 laptop running Fedora 44 (so GNOME using Wayland protocol only) and running the latest updates for that (e.g. Linux kernel 7.1.5-201.fc44.x86_64).

My desk is setup for dual external monitors. One of those external display is off a Dell WD19 Thunderbolt 3 dock… and the second external display comes of a different Lintes TBT3 dock (again Thunderbolt 3) which is connected to the Dell dock.

I know the Dell dock can support both DisplayPort monitors all by itself… but I do it this way because these are hot desks which sometimes people plug things like a MacBook (where some don’t do MST) and accessing a second display is only supported this way. Basically I’m not changing the way I configure the docks or cabling, don’t even ask me to!

Often, but not always… when the laptop wakes up… it only finds one monitor (on the Dell dock)… and i have to manually disconnected/reconnect the second monitor on the second Lintes dock to get it to re-detect it.

The laptop hasn’t forgotten about the second Lintes dock (which shows up in these circumstances), but oddly it’s just (and again only sometimes) forgotten to check if it has a monitor.

I’m guessing this is an AMD GPU bug, does anyone know of a fix that is coming?

Thanks
