Multiple monitor issues

Hi everyone!
I just got my DIY edition and set up is going ok. I’ve installed Fedora 35 and use i3 for my window manager. I plugged in my USB-C dock and I’m having trouble setting up my external monitors. Here’s my xrandr output:

As you should be able to see, DP-4-2 should be able to support a higher resolution, but when i run xrandr --output DP-4-2 --mode "3840x2160" it fails with xrandr: Configure crtc 2 failed. I think i’ve seen a similar issue on machines that didn’t have the capability to support that many high resolution monitors, but my understanding is that the framework laptop shouldn’t have any problem. How can i troubleshoot this? obviously I’m glad to add any logs that could help out here. Thanks!

I actually managed to make this work by using a refresh rate of 30 instead of the default 60. so running xrandr --output DP-4-2 --mode "3840x2160" --rate 30 worked for me
