It’s a framework 13 (intel i5-1135G7), batch 4 from 2021, running Windows 11 that I’ve been otherwise fairly happy with. It’s recently developed the above behavior some of the screen contents flicker/twitch to an interlaced position. It wasn’t bad at first, but it’s gotten progressively worse until the point now where it’s hard to use the laptop.
The video shows relatively mild behavior when I first turn it on in the morning; it gets progressively worse as it stays on. It happens either on battery or plugged in, though it does sometimes seems like the behavior worsens when the battery is less charged.
I tried reseating the cable, updating all the drivers I could find, and poking at the GPU & power settings; so far no luck. It behaves fine when powering an external monitor.
At the moment my best guess is the screen, but figured I’d check here first to see if anyone has seen anything similar.
Did you reseat both ends of the cable? The only other thing that I would try, primarily because it would be an easy test, would be booting from a live USB to see if you still have the problem there. I agree with you that it sounds like it’s the display, but the two items above are worth trying before going down the display replacement path. You might also reach out to Support to see if they have any other troubleshooting suggestions. Best of luck getting things resolved.
