I have a 13 inch 7640U that I bought pre-built and it’s been working great for the most part. Something I’ve noticed that’s gotten really annoying though is that while I’m typing, my cursor will jump to where my cursor is like I clicked on the touchpad. Is this a hardware issue or something that Windows is doing?

That sounds like a Windows issue. Especially since it is jumping to wherever the cursor is.
When I read the article topic I thought it was the drifting cursor thing which would be more indicative of a hardware issue. Some process is making it jump the pointer to wherever the cursor is.
You might have to search Google to find where this has cropped up before. Let us know what you find.
