My Framework 12, using 13th Generation Intel & Using Windows 11,
I got it as a Christmas gift, last Christmas, but took a long while to get Windows 11 installed, because I had not had my own Windows account working for years. In just Feb. the gifter of it all, just decided to allow me to use his Windows Account until I could get my account working again & switch mine out as administrator. I doubt has much to do with the problems, but I am detailed & who knows.
As soon as I started using the LT & come back very recently, the cooling does not work, eventually starts heating up my lap & gives the message that it is an installation problem. The gifter knows software, in the industry & owns a older model Framework LT, so we took the back off & could not find any problem. Like I mentioned it stopped for a while, because I was not having the time to use The LT & has come back, as I have found the time to use it.
About 3-weeks or more the LT’s touch-pad started not doing Right Clicking at all. Again, in communication with the gifter & he said, through Framework’s community, that I needed to download the driver bundle. I went & eventually found where Windows 11 would allow me to do it, but the gifter wanted me to do it automatically & E-Mailed me the link to do so. I pointed-out to him, what if the LT already had the driver bundle (which I could identify & stop from downloading, if doing myself) & we are telling Windows to automatically download the driver bundle. He said, would not make any difference. For some time the Right Clicking was working perfectly, but since yesterday, it is gradually getting worse.
Could the LT’s cooling not working cause the driver bundle to not work?
