I was able to find touch sensitive vinyl for the touchpad in same color as I used for the bezel. I was surprised on how much I like how it feels. It has a slight texture that you can barely feel.

I have a really hard time imagining that feels as good or better than the stock trackpad. Is it slippery/smooth?
it has a slight texture similar to paper? maybe. it is not rough but not perfectly smooth either.

Any effect on touch responsiveness? Can you give a link to the vinyl?

there is no change to responsiveness. i got the vinyl from Amazon. It is the version for MacBook that says 8" x 4" but is more like a 0.25" larger than the framework touchpad. i unscrewed the touchpad so i could X-acto knife the excess off.

yes. it was a little tough to cut where the tabs stick out as couldn’t keep the same angle on the X-acto.
