Does anyone have info on pixel response time for the newly announced fw13 screens? I don’t plan to do much gaming on the fw13, but one game I will play requires very low response time. Any input, speculative or factual, is appreciated! This will be the deciding factor for me buying a fw13 or something else.

I have the same question. My only complaint about previous Framework displays as been the blurring caused by the low pixel response time.
Same here. I don’t game on my 13 at all, but I find the frankly horrible response times very distracting even just scrolling through code or moving windows around.

Historyically, FW laptops have been mostly middle of the road when it comes to specific specifications, with the exception of repairability which it excels at.
So, if you’re looking for something like 0.3ms response time…I ‘speculate’ that’s not going to happen. Because it’s not just the display, you want low latency everything (memory, graphics processing, audio to sync with the graphics, your keyboard and mouse → USB). And we know from DJs (IIRC) that latencyMon was reading getting high latency readings.

What you’re describing is latency, like the time between and input by the user and an output by the display. The question here is about pixel response time, how long it takes for a pixel in the display to change values, which is a purely display hardware related spec.
The original 2.2K 60Hz display has a Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time of approximately 44 - 50.4ms
The newer 2.8K 120Hz display upgrade offers a marginal improvement measures a GtG time of 41.9ms
For reference, OLED displays have a pixel response time of 0.01 - 0.03ms.
The high GtG time on current FW displays results in a lot of blurring and/or ghosting.

Yeah they are almost impressively bad in that regard, I do hope they fixed that on the new custom display but I am not holding out huge hopes. Hope notebookcheck gets their hands on one soon.
While the new display has some pretty impressive capabilities otherwise I am not paying 300 bucks for a screen that smeary.
