New Intel Core 3 Wildcat Lake Efficiency

According to Jeff Geerling the new Intel Wildcat Lake CPUs are the 2nd most efficient performance per watt consumer CPUs you can get right now, excited to get my new Framework 12.

"This is the best x86 machine I’ve tested yet, for FP64 efficiency.

Not only that; the 4 E-cores alone give 120 Gflops at 24W, so they’re doing some heavy lifting. The P-cores run into power limits. I wonder if Intel could just make a 4x e-core N500 or something with Wildcat Lake. That would be amazing.":

When/Where did Jeff talk about that? Did he get an early review unit? Or are you referring to the chip in different systems?

Looks like he is referring to Jeff’s “top500-benchmark” repository on his Github. It says he is using the chip on the Dell XPS 13, not a framework 12.

Sorry I should’ve specified it was the base XPS 13 with Intel Core 5 320 and 8GB single channel RAM, but the new FW12 performance and power efficiency should be similar:
