We’ve decided to adjust the security measures for accessing the Community Market from Trust Level 2 to Trust Level 1. We actually dropped the Trust Level to 1 earlier this month to test the space and found no issues arose in that timeframe.
When we originally made the change to Trust Level 2, we had a rise in activity for bad actors that were attempting to take advantage of our members which resulted in us implementing the changes to better protect the community. The adjustments were aimed at protecting the integrity of the space and making it harder for malicious users to operate here. While successful, we recognize this impacted how quickly new members could engage as well as less active accounts.
We are making this new adjustment after a year of elevated security measures and community feedback. To access the Community Market, individuals must be at Trust Level 1 (basic). The requirements are as follows:
Our priority remains in keeping this space safe and trustworthy for the entire community. If needed, we will return to our Trust Level 2 requirement as your safety is important to us.
