No Wi-Fi 6E support on Framework Laptop 13 (AMD 7040 series, MT7922/RZ616) on Ubuntu 24.04 in Taiwan

The channels are displayed as disabled even when the regulatory region should allow them:

Stuff that I tried so far:

  • Manually set the regulatory region to TW using the iw reg set command.
  • Upgrade the device firmware to the upstream current version, respectively:
    • mediatek/WIFI_MT7922_patch_mcu_1_1_hdr.bin: 20241106163228a
    • mediatek/WIFI_RAM_CODE_MT7922_1.bin: 20241106163156
  • Upgrade the wireless-regdb data to the upstream current version(2025.02.20)

but to no avail.
