I have just receive my first framework 13, with ADM Ryzen 7040 DIY edition.
Assembly was ok, and i install windows with a usb stick. All is ok, but then, I have no wifi, as if the wifi card was not there at all. I have look for help in this forum but I have not find the solution yet.
I have also updates the bios and the driver bundle (for this last one, is something supposed to open? I had just a quick loading bar, and then nothing). I have shut down and reopen the computer, but still the same. Plane mode is not activated. Can someone help me please?
Hi Dennis, Iāve setup a few frameworks from scratch, and Iāve had similar results with the driver pack. It is suppose to load several drivers and is pretty obvious when it works. I recommend copying the driver pack onto the c: drive, or desktop and run it from there, make sure you are using an admin account, or run as admin, and see if that changes your outcome.
Thank you for your reply.
I have copied the driver pack on the c: drive or desktop. But it does the same as before : when i click (as admin) on driver exe, it loads a little, then I see a loading bar (X% extraction). Then when it is 100%, a black window appear shortly, but dissapear instantly, but nothing else happened ā¦ On the contrary, with BIOS driver update, I see a lot more happeningā¦ Does it mean the driver does not work on my laptop? Or is it a wifi card problem?Or something else?
Now I have a second problem ā¦ As it was not working, I tried to reinstall windows, thanks to windows parameter option. It work till this screen ; āit is time to connect to a networkā and ask āinstall driverā, and I must choose a directory. I tried with driver bundle on a USB stick, but it is like there is no driver bundle on any driveā¦ And contrary as the first time I install windows, I can not go to the next stepā¦ Things get worstā¦
Can you please share a screenshot of Device Manager with the yellow warning triangle for ādevice detected but has no driverā so you can right-click on the device ā driver ā update driver ā¦ or if itās missing, turn off the laptop and re-seat the wifi device in its socket.
