I just received my framwork 13. While I totally love it, I am a bit underwhelmed by the orange bezel that I chose.
Is it normal that the stickers on the back of the bezel shine through? Is this a general issue with the bezels or is this just with lighter colors.
Would be interested in how it looks on your laptops.
I have a green bezel and don’t have any bleed through, BUT I would say this is just a consequence of a lighter color. The plastic cannot be especially dense or it would be too rigid to easily take off and put on.
Are the stickers from Framework on the back? Are they removable? (IE: do they come easy without breaking down into smaller pieces while trying to remove it?)
In step 2 of the bezel replacement guide, you can see the author removing the white liner pieces from what appears to be transparent adhesive.
This may be a silly question, but is the adhesive under the white liner also white? If not, have you removed the liner?
Yes, that is also white. I did remove the liner.
By now I have also seen some other pictures of orange bezels here on the forum and this bleeding through seems to be normal …
Still bugs me, as it is right in front of my nose all the time and I can’t unsee it now.
