Power LED sometimes dark after sleeping/charging

I’m not entirely sure if a firmware/BIOS update or a Linux update caused this, which is why I’m posting it here, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.

My FW13 with the Intel Core i5-1240P recently started having what seems more like a hardware bug than a hardware failure. I am running Fedora 41 with KDE Plasma 6.2.4. After a large series of updates went through, I’ve noticed that when I go through a sleep/wake cycle while my laptop is charging, the LED on the power button will not turn back on. The power button itself and the fingerprint sensor both still work, just the LED is off. If I restart the computer, the LED will stay off up until Fedora’s boot screen appears after the bootloader, at which point it will turn back on.

The laptop otherwise works just fine this is just a strange, seemingly cosmetic issue.

happening to me too,
OS: Fedora Linux 41 (KDE Plasma) x86_64
Host: Laptop (12th Gen Intel Core) (A6)
Kernel: Linux 6.12.6-200.fc41.x86_64

Same here, seems to be an issue with the OS, using fedora 41(KDE). I will test with windows soon to see if the behavior remains the same

Edit: after booting windows 11 the issue seems to have gone away on both Linux and windows. Meaning it is quite possibly a firmware / software bug.
