Remote power on via keyboard or other

I am curious if there is a way to power on the laptop remotely. Use case, I have my laptop rear mounted behind my desk and use a docking station. I know some systems have a key combo to power them on but I did not see such an option in the bios.

Ideas:

  • Use the power on when AC connected feature and power the dock on using a smart outlet.
  • Key combo I do not know of.

There is a power on a/c function in at least one bios version.
I think I have seen posts indicating that it works.
Your docking station would need to be reachable, though.

@Edward_Gray Yeah that was the idea I indicated above but was looking for other options.
