Request: Framework Desktop block diagram for system and peripherals

Hello:

Unless I missed it, it would be nice to see a block diagram of the CPU and peripherals and how they are connected. (e.g. the sort of thing you often find in a mainboard manual)

Thank you!

I imagine that this would be pretty close to that. It doesn’t seem like there’s a ton of extra stuff on the motherboard that isn’t coming straight from the APU. I bet if you counted the ports on the images you might find it almost identical to the number coming off the APU.

From the left, DRAM 4 channels, those go straight to the ram around the CPU on the motherboard, check. EDP, probably not going anywhere since there’s no integrated screen. 3 DP ports, 2 to DP on the back, 1 to an HDMI converter then to the back. 2 USB 4.0, those are on the back. 3 USB 10gbe, probably 2 to the front of the case for expansion ports, then 1 to the USB-A ports on the back. (split into two 5gbs) USB 2.0 may be unused. PCIE 4.0, 2 x4’s, these go to the NVME ports internally. 2 lanes for Wifi and Lan, those probably go to the wifi and 5gbe lan ports. 2 more possibly unused lanes, then 4 more lanes for the PCIe x4 port internally. Looks like all the ports on the system are accounted for at least aside from the headphone jack. The headphone jack may go to the USB 2.0 port or maybe the hdmi converter? That may need the actual block diagram.
