RGB lighting not working after wake up from suspend

Hi,

I just got my Framework 16 and assembled it. I installed BlueFin 39 on it. The only issue I currently have is that the RGB backlit is not working after waking up / resuming from suspend. BIOS is 3.03. Things I tried:

  1. the Fn key shortkeys for RGB are not working but for the top row keys is working.
  2. keyboard.frame.work → lighting: nothing works.
  3. reboot works, but only until the first suspend

Any help is much appreciated.

Bluefin is awesome, but just to ensure that this isn’t a software issue (as this is sounding like a software issue), could you try an Ubuntu live USB, and suspend with it, to see if the behavior persists?

And you are right! I just tried Ubuntu Desktop Live and it just works !

So, I tested Fedora 40 Workstation live as well. This one also just works . So, it’s bluefin-dx 39. There is no 40 yet afaik and I read they are doing some cleaning in their road to 40 and also move to tuned. I will see if I can try silverblue 40 from a usb.

I rebased to silverblue 40 according to this post:

Rebooted into it, but this one still has these issues. That post is from apr 2 2024 so this project seemed to be stalled as Fedora 40 is already for a while.
