Windows 10 22H2 + Ubuntu 2404.01
Windows is outdated / unsupported; thats ok, I do not have issues with that anyway
Framework Laptop 16
Two related symptoms:
One.
After I added the MZ9LQ512 SSD to the system, Ubuntu 2404 cannot sleep. Or rather, it can, but it cannot wake up (some kind of kernel lock).
I am unable to get any log on Windows, not even a unsuccessful shutdown.
On Linux, I don’t know how to look for any log, not even a “entering sleep/suspend” one.
Windows will wake up, for 2 second, then hang, and hard reserts (cold boot). Disabling LSPM/ASPM in BIOS does fix it for Windows, but not Linux.
Two.
If I put the MZ9LQ512 on the bottom slot (in the dual m.2 carrier), it does not show up (at all). The slot still works, if I just revert the two spots.
…
Using dual SSD adapter.
SSDs are:
SAMSUNG MZ9LQ512HBLU-00B00 (FXM7601Q) (expansion bay far)
TEAM TM8FP6002T (SN10660) (expansion bay near)
P0327 Phison 512GB (27030101)
TEAM TM8FP6002T (SN10660)
The SAMSUNG is the one that “has issues”. It was in a USB enclosure for the longest time, and the one having the Windows install. The Linux install is on the Phison.
This is with BIOS 3.0.7.
