Framework 16 AMD Ryzen 7040 Series with 7700s as the gpu module
Currently having an issue where the screen glitches out. I have tried using both fedora and ubuntu and the issue still happens there as well. Noticed it first when using cachyos and then tried bazzite and finally the other 2. Issue doesn’t happen in the bios. The pictures below are examples of the glitching happening when I reinstalled bazzite. These are more minor examples but Ive noticed it appearing all across the DE. On the login screen it’ll appear as a green pixelated mess across the entire screen.
I too am experiencing this, and am planning on testing out a workaround.
I am experiencing these issues in Bazzite-GNOME when pressing the Super key to open the app overview.
I encountered them on Bazzite 42, 43, and 44.
Bazzite 42 and 43 were installed on my machine; Bazzite 44 was running from a live CD because I temporarily switched to Windows.
There are no glitches on Windows, though.
I initially thought this was a GNOME issue since they also occur on live Fedora images, so I was about to test it on GNOME OS. However, I now believe the root cause lies in low-level graphical Linux components (such as Wayland or Vulkan), since you experience them on other desktop environments as well.
