Screen only partially drawing / refreshing when switching applications

I am experiencing an intermittent issue which occurs when I switch applications. The screen only partially draws / renders i.e. some of the old view, of the application I was tabbing away from, still remains. I have to alt-tab or minimise again to correct it. The issue also occurs when changing tabs within an application or scrolling.

I cannot find another topic that seems to cover this, unless I’m mistaken. And I have no idea what to do as I’ve tried different power modes and updated drivers and Windows.

System details:

  • Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26100)
  • Framework 16 AMD Ryzen 7040 Series, Ryzen 9 7940HS, 32GB DDR5-5600

I’m having the exact same issue on my Framework 13 (AMD Ryzen 7640u) with 32 GB DDR5-4800. Tried reinstalling Windows too, to no avail. I’ve updated the drivers and have tried using AMD’s GPU software suite. Never had this occur on Linux (Fedora, PopOS).

I turned off dynamic refresh rate in windows settings and it seems to have fixed it for now, do you have that on?

I also switched the energy saving modes on windows to high perofrmance insgtead of balanced and that completely removed ity

Thanks @Marcus_Baptiste . I’ve changed those settings. I’ll see what happens and report back.
