i’m pretty mad about it because i ordered it on feb 2024 and it arrived even later, so i’ve barely been using this laptop for one year. i submitted a support ticket yesterday, but i don’t have high hopes for a response since it’s christmas. it seems like a hardware issue since whether it’s detected or not changes based on the position of my finger. it’s gotten a lot worse over the last 2 days, going from maybe 90% of the time being detected to more like 20%.
i’m going to work around it by remapping to caps lock until they respond and hopefully replace it (which they absolutely SHOULD because it’s kind of unacceptable imo), but if you guys have any suggestions to fix it they are greatly appreciated. i’ve tried cleaning the magnetic contact thing twice, but no luck.
