As a part of the debugging process with support on a super loud fan bearing / coil whine, it was recommended that I update my BIOS from 3.05 to 4.03. After doing that though, my laptop has become crazy slow. I’m getting a half second delay on most actions. I tried the 544MHz fix to see if that was it, but that didn’t work unfortunately. Has anyone run into this before? If so, how did you fix it? Should I just roll back my BIOS?
I had this same issue and it goes away for me after a reboot or 2 which seems to fix it, the update also got rid of some drivers which I reinstalled, it can also stop some windows background tasks which can make the UI laggy as it has to start a new task, research there is a fix.
I wanted to provide an update since I was able to fix my problem. Turns out the problem was my charging cable did not have a good connection and the constant switching power policies from plugged in to battery was causing a pretty significant lag. It’s sad since that was the second framework USB cord I bought this year, but oh well.
