[SOLVED] Lag / slowness on Framework 13 Core Ultra 1

Hello -

Just got my 13" Core Ultra 1 (prebuilt). I’ll run the preinstalled windows 11 pro.

I’ll use this as travel computer and when doing so will need to connect to a work vdi via Citrix Workspace. When I’ve logged on, I get extreme lag/slowness to the point the vdi is unusable.

I’ve read elsewhere (not this support site) that this might be related to hardware acceleration in the ARC graphics card. Those posts are a bit older and it’s not clear to me if newer releases were supposed to have resolved this issue.

I don’t see any posts on VDI/lag - so hopefully this is an issue with a solve. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Have you tried updating your BIOS and drivers to the latest version? Also do you experience this issue on any other devices? If you do it is possible that it is caused by a slow network rather than slow hardware acceleration.

Hello - yes - I did the bios update when setting up the computer.

Three other devices - one running the windows 11 citrix workspace client and two macs - are all fine on the same network.

Try the latest Intel graphics drivers, directly from Intel…not from the Framework driver bundle.

Think the latest WHQL version is: 32.0.101.6078

Also, note that Windows 11 24H2 is also out…
