[SOLVED] OneDrive Error after BIOS 3.04 upgrade - "Your computer's Trusted Platform Module has malfunctioned - Keyset does not exist"

Hello team. I just upgraded my brand new Framework 13 to the latest BIOS that was posted (BIOS 3.04) - realising too late that it’s actually a beta.

  • Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC (OS Build 26100.4652)
  • Framework Laptop 13 - AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series

After a seemingly successful installation of the newest BIOS my OneDrive won’t login anymore due to the error “Your computer’s Trusted Platform Module has malfunctioned.” -Server message: “Keyset does not exist”.

I’ll post screenshots in the comments field.
→ as a result, OneDrive can’t be used (which I’m heavily reliant on).

Can I revert to old BIOS version, or is there a fix for this? Thanks

Try to reset bios settings and/or disable and then enable secure boot in the bios.

Thanks Jonathan! Reset of the BIOS is what helped me - both you and the Framework support advised on this.

Here is the solution for me (received email reply from Framework support within 24 hours after submitting this yesterday). Not experiencing any problems at the moment - hoping it won’t be recurring.

  1. Reset BIOS Settings to Default:
Access the BIOS during startup (F2 key)
Choose Load Setup Defaults, then save and exit
  2. Clear the TPM (Trusted Platform Module):
Before doing this, please ensure you have your BitLocker recovery key if BitLocker is enabled.
Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Device security
    Click Security processor details
    Select Security processor troubleshooting
Choose Clear TPM, then restart the laptop when prompted
