[SOLVED] What does the error light sequence of Red/Blue mean?

On rare occaisions the embedded controller gets stuck at powerup and holds the system from finishing the POST sequence.

For me, the red-blue light combination indeed meant a hardware failure. The MB had died:

The mainboard had died. I was sent a replacement by Framework, and that has worked since.

The RAM was perfectly operative, in comparison.
