Some minor issues I noticed on the Framework Website

  1. At https://frame.work/laptop12?tab=resources-and-guides , the “Go to guides” button under “Step-by-step guides” links to a page that talks about the Framework 13. The button is on a page that talks about the Framework 12 and not the 13 so this may be a little confusing to new users.
  2. Blog post previews at https://frame.work/blog are a little wonky. The top post that is there right now is about the Framework Desktop, and apparently the first sentence has a non-breaking space at the end. This renders as a   instead of an actual space. This behavior occurs on my Win11/Firefox system as well as my ChromeOS/Chrome system.
  3. The second post that’s previewed on the blog page is about the Framework 12. It begins with a short paragraph that ends with an exclamation mark. After the exclamation mark, there are two line breaks (\n\n). On the blog preview page, such line breaks are completely ignored and thus there’s a space missing between the exclamation mark and the text from the next paragraph. IMO, any number of consecutive line breaks should just be rendered as a singular space on the blog preview page; it’s better than there randomly being 2 spaces between sentences seemingly in the same paragraph (in the preview), or worse, 0 spaces.

I, as well as many others, tend to strongly judge companies by the way they design and format their websites as IMO it shows how much effort they are willing to put into the little things. I know for a fact that Framework does, as shown by the long string of Deep Dive posts as well as many other things I’ve seen from y’all. I just thought it would be nice to provide a few tips on how to polish it a little bit more.

Thanks for all the great work you’re doing!

I reported a problem with the FW site via the support email address (support@frame.work) and got a speedy response. They fixed the issue within a few days. If you don’t get any traction through the forum, that address might be a good backup contact!

I would also recommend this as the default course of action. However, I have notified Framework staff about your post and points as well. Thanks!

These are great finds. I’ll pass them over to the team - thanks so much!
