Sourcing a Battery Connector for the Framework 13 (10pin)

Hi there! This might be considered a duplicate thread, as I have found other threads that ask about this, but they are all old and inactive at this point. (see Sourcing for battery connectors?, Connectors for battery extension cable - #5 by eteq and Battery-PD adapter for standalone Mainboards - #4 by FlorisNielssen)
Essentially, I’d like to bring up again the issue of not being able to source a Battery connector port for projects featuring the Framework 13 Battery. Having owned and loved the Framework 13 for the past few years, I’ve recently (ish) upgraded it’s battery, and having a fully working framework battery just lying about gave me the motivation I needed to give turning it into another powerbank (or battery extension) a go. I’ve done all the research and have a pretty solid plan, apart from being able to connect to the battery itself properly.

According to both the open source docs, and other people who have done this research before me, the connector in question is the ACES 50459-010H0M0-001. Now before it seems to have been an issue of MOQ, but now it seems like this port is not available at all. Searching for this connection in www.acesconn.com (which is, as far as I can tell, the original manufacturer of the connector), yields no results. I’ve looked for both standalone connectors, as well as breakout boards, but so far the options I’ve purchased were either mislabeled or simply incompatable.

Therefore I would like to ask if there is any other option open for me to carry on this project, barring from removing the connector on the battery itself and dealing directly with the 10 wires coming out of it. I was hoping to avoid that so that my solution would be as safe as possible, without tinkering with the battery itself.

Thanks for an advice in advance and thank you Framework for a fantastic device and project

I would also love for the connector to be available on the FW Marketplace. Perhaps this time something will come of it.

I do fear that the connector might be marked as obsolete by third party suppliers, which would be a shame but out of framework’s control, but I’d like to hear that from framework if thats the case

For a personal one-off project, yes?
Did you run across this thread: community.frame.work/t/pinout-of-the-16s-85whr-battery/49610? A couple people have found connectors used for other laptops which are compatible.

~edit~
Ah, forgive me. I failed to see that you’re talking about the FWL13! Yeah, that thread is of no help.

I had actually, I should have mentioned. I did find similar threads (might have been reddit) of people doing something similar for FWL13, but unfortunately I don’t currently have the opportunity to salvage, and finding one-off options on the market, while definitely theoretically ok for my project’s end, I’m worried I’d get something that isn’t compatible anyway (through error).

Apart from thos, I’m also hoping that if it goes well for me, I would like to publish an open source project, with a proper bill of materials (and suppliers), CAD designs, ecc ecc for people to make use of their working but replaced batteries. Salvaging makes that a bit less accessible in that case.
