Strange issue with graphical user interface of certain applications

I have a strange issue with certain applications on my Framework 13 (AMD 7840U). There is weird UI glitches, the UI being cut off, or being rendered improperly. For example, in the uninstallation program of “AMD Software”, the UI is always rendered cut-off - and thus I cannot actually do anything in there:

The UI of the “Synology Drive Client” (cloud sync app for Synology DiskStations) is rendered in a completely useless state:

Even its System Tray context menu shows a similar issue:

Even Visual Studio Code has a weird issue, where sometimes only a quarter of the complete UI renders, until I minimize and open it one or two times (have no screenshot of that at the moment as it’s not easily reproducible, unlike the others).

Regarding the Synology Drive Client I have been in contact with Synology’s support and they told me that this is the first time they have ever seen this. Thus their (and my) thinking is that is must be somehow related to my Windows install or my Laptop. Hence me posting it here.

I am currently also at a loss what could cause this, as I do not think I have installed anything special on my system, or done any special settings or adjustments. These are the things I have tried (partly together with Synology’s support):

  1. In the properties of the executable of the Synlogy Drive Client application under “Compatibility” - “Change high DPI settings” enabled “Override high DPI scaling behavior” and set it to “System (Enhanced)”.
  2. Also tried every other setting within “Change high DPI settings”.
  3. Changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and set the scale to 100%.
  4. Did a GPU driver wipe with DDU in safe made and rebooted without LAN/WiFi and reinstalled the latest driver bundle from here.
  5. Updated Windows 11 to 25H2 (10.0.26200 Build 26200).
  6. Ran sfc /scannow

The issues weren’t there from the start. I thought that they started with the update to Windows 11 24H2 back in December 2024, but I can’t be sure.

May be someone here has any further ideas what could cause this. It seems software related to me - but may be not?

Welp, I completely reinstalled Windows which fixed the issue :person_shrugging:
