The rubber thing didn’t work for me and I didn’t have pliers, so I used a magnet to unscrew the screw… It took a while but it worked

I’m assuming it was pretty loose, and turned with little resistance?
Upon reading your post, I first imagined one of those huge, ridiculously powerful (and legit dangerous) neodymium magnets the size of your fist.

It was one of those small magnets they sell in car parts stores, they have different strengths but definitely nowhere near as strong neodymium magnets
