Thank you, Framework, for the new keyboard for my FW Laptop 16. I accidentally broke the “H” key and didn’t want to tell anyone until I tried to fix it because I was embarrassed. What happened was that I tried to clean the cap by jamming my tools under it (very smart). Then, I proceeded to break the metal hooks and had to get a new keyboard. I got the Linux one because I already had the Linux one.
Again, thank you FW team for the new keyboard!
P.S. The pricing going back to normal must have been very difficult due to tariffs.

How long did it take to replace the keyboard again? 10 seconds?

Less than that, I just didn’t have the money to buy it until I did, but I also wanted to try to save money if I could. I mean it did work for the most part, just had to glue part of the mechanism, and it lost its springiness. I still could have used the broken one, (and I did for about a month and a half), I just didn’t like mashing the “h” key until it finally input it. Should I post the “repair” of the keyboard to illustrate my superb keyboard repair skills? lol
FYI: I used it until I had the money to get one and for the time of shipping.

I definitely would have done the same thing, smashing the broken button until I can’t do it anymore haha.

Will do, It’s just going to take a little while. I have to find it. Have you guys ever thought of making an official snack drawer expansion card/bay?
Yeah, it probably was dumb to ask that, I was trying to make a joke, but it went pretty stupidly, sorry
haha not stupid at all
I’m personally a big fan of the snack drawer, but I think it’s funnier when it’s 3d printed
