Thank you, Framework, for the new keyboard for my FW Laptop 16. I accidentally broke the “H” key and didn’t want to tell anyone until I tried to fix it because I was embarrassed. What happened was that I tried to clean the cap by jamming my tools under it (very smart). Then, I proceeded to break the metal hooks and had to get a new keyboard. I got the Linux one because I already had the Linux one.
Less than that, I just didn’t have the money to buy it until I did, but I also wanted to try to save money if I could. I mean it did work for the most part, just had to glue part of the mechanism, and it lost its springiness. I still could have used the broken one, (and I did for about a month and a half), I just didn’t like mashing the “h” key until it finally input it. Should I post the “repair” of the keyboard to illustrate my superb keyboard repair skills? lol
FYI: I used it until I had the money to get one and for the time of shipping.
I finally found it! Here’s a picture of the glued key. I bit up the key using my teeth to force it to connect to the mechanism and it just broke it, so I got that newer one and it still didn’t work lol. I have a new one and I haven’t really thought about it until I literally came apon the keyboard.
