The (hypothetical) Framework Laptop For Life Program

Has framework considered some sort of subscription model for owning a laptop where they guarantee they will fix/replace your device if anything breaks? I’m not sure if this makes much business sense at all since framework would have to keep producing legacy parts for replacements (it certainly doesn’t make sense currently when Framework doesn’t have locations for people to ship devices in for repairs).

Any thoughts on this? Has framework considered something like this before? Thanks

While the name is certainly a catchy one, I think it (mostly) defeats the point of Framework: you don’t have to send the device somewhere to get repaired in the first place.

That being said, having a subscription for Marketplace discounts would be really great, especially for independent repair shops; that would encourage bulk orders and having stock on hand for any potential customers.
