When I run the BIOS update for Framework Laptop 16 (AMD Ryzen™ 7040 Series), it displays an error message: “This BIOS is not for your notebook PC.”
Does this message normally appear when running the BIOS updater?

What operating system are you using?
If Windows, can you run msinfo32.exe
from the Run dialog (Win+R) as admin (Ctrl+Shift+Enter) and send a screenshot of the main page it displays? You can redact any serial numbers, but please keep any model numbers visible. I’m specifically interested in “BaseBoard Product”.
If Linux, can you run sudo dmidecode | less
and share the contents of the “Base Board Information” section?
Your screenshot shows you have a Framework 13. The processor is from the 13 as well. The FW16 bios wouldn’t work on your device, so the message is correct.
FW16 is not a software version but a different device (16" Notebook vs 13" Notebook ).
