Video is worth a thousand words: https://youtu.be/Nd2rOGd1g5Q
I picked up a Thunderbolt dock from Monoprice last month and it was working fine until yesterday, when it started shutting itself off when I docked my Framework 13 laptop into it.
- Windows 11
- Framework 13, Ryzen 7040
- Updated all drivers to latest versions, BIOS to 3.05
I’m not seeing anything in Event Viewer when this occurs, other than a Kernel-Power “power source change” event.
I’m plugging the cable into the “Thunderbolt-compatible” ports, aka top left and top right. Both experience the same issue.
Other factors:
- Other devices (my partner’s Surface Book, or a Pixel 7) can dock successfully, it just seems to affect the Framework 13
- A “standard” USB-C hub connected to the Framework works fine
Any ideas where to start?
