My trackpad click is getting stuck down. Have I worn it out in just a few weeks? (Does everyone else do soft-taps for clicks so they don’t wear out the mechanism?)

Busy now or would find you links. Have you searched for similar issues where it rubs, sticks, makes noises etc. due to it not being aligned well enough
I’ll be opening my computer later today, I’ll look at the alignment.

I pretty much only do soft-taps because it’s easier on my fingers (except for some complicated dragging operations).
But yeah, I’d also check the alignment.

I hate soft-taps because when I mouse quickly that frequently gets interpreted as taps.

Never happened to me for decades so I wonder if you can change the delay for the tap so as a ‘quick’ slide doesn’t evoke a tap.
