Trackpad requires a lot of force to respond to clicks

Hi All, my Framework 13 trackpad (1st gen chassis with upgraded mainboard) has started developing a very annoying trait. In order to register a click, the trackpad must be pressed quite hard. There is the usual audible ‘click’ when pressed, but unless it is pressed quite firmly, the click isn’t registered. This is intermittent, so works fine occasionally, but the ‘heavy click’ is becoming increasingly necessary.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I had a similar issue and it was my battery swelling under the trackpad, i contacted support and they replaced it.

Oh wow. As it happens I have a battery upgrade en–route anyway so let’s see if that solves it..
