I have a framework 13 AMD Ryzen 5 7640u with 2 x Kingston 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM ECC RAM 2 TB Samsung 990pro. Im happy with my laptop, but I started editing video, and the Ryzen 5 needs an upgrade. I can not oder just an Ryzen 7 Mainboard, but I could order an Intel Ultra i7 155. Im wondering if my other Hardware is compatible with the Intel, and is the upgrade worth it for editing. Or any other recommodations how i could get it faster?
Currently, all FW13 mainboards (with the exception of the Chromebook one) are compatible with all chassis (again with the exception of the Chromebook model). The Mainboard would not be an upgrade.
You can absolutely purchase a Ryzen 7 mainboard by itself from the below links. The AI 300 board is newer.
