USB-A Expansion Card stops working until unplugged

I’m using a USB hub connected to the USB-A expansion card in slot 4 (front right). When disconnecting the laptop from power, working with it for some time and the placing it on the desk again, reconnecting the hub and power, the hub is not detected anymore. In fact, the whole USB-A adapter does not work anymore - until I unplug the expansion card, wait for ~10 seconds and replug it.

After replugging, dmesg shows ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: unknown error 256. Then I can connect the hub again, and it works as before.

This was reported for another release of this laptop already: [SOLVED] USB-A Expansion Card stops working until unplugged

I am not running TLP or have any special power savings enabled.

What can I do to permanently fix that?
