Usb ports stopped working framework 16 ai 300

hello so recently 4 of my usb ports just suddently stopped working and i can’t figure out why. i am getting errors abotu usb tho.

You probably tripped the overcurrent protection which is really easy to do (unfortunately).

  1. Go to BIOS
  2. Unplug the device from AC power
  3. Enabled the “disconnect from battery” feature
  4. Save and shutdown
  5. wait 5 seconds
  6. Plug device back into AC power

This reset’s the EC in charge of the usb. Alternatively you can shut down the device, unplug it from power, and wait 120 seconds (this is slower).

I’ve helped ~two dozen people with similar issues and this has resolved it for all of them.

yeah i already tried that and it didn’t work

also i do nto need help anymore as framework is sending me a replacement board
