Currently designing a VGA expansion card. Planning on using the Cypress CCG3 for DisplayPort conversion and NXP 3392.
Should have a schematic completed soon.

Any thoughts on connector placement? If I’m not mistaken standard DB-9 would not fit, so an oversized card would probably be required.

Yes, will be oversized, VGA uses DE-15 not DB-9.

Are you getting somewhere? I’m interested too. Thinking of producing to sell or only for personnal use?

I’m interested in this project, too. I work with a lot of legacy projectors in my workplace and having an HDMI connection is more of an exception. I had to use a dongle for this.
