Inspired by the blender 3D tile picker I could not resist but build a web based picker:
Not sure if it’s a blessing or curse while patiently waiting for my batch 10 desktop to ship. Who else constantly changing their tile orderr?

Just updated the picker. You can now manipulate multiple tiles at once.
Love your design. Hope to see more and get some inspiration. Ordered way too many tile packs anyway
@catastrophic does Framework have frontal photos or life-like renderings of the expansion cards that are available for the desktop? Would love to make them customizable as well, but could not find the required images.
Way more convenient than my 3D models ! Contrats and thank you .
Hope to be able to afford one in the future ^^.
This is sick! Great job wolfie. Let me dig around and get back to you regarding expansion card renders.
This tool is really cool! I’m not sure what my final design will be but it’s fun to start playing around with ideas using the colors I ordered
Nice! I’ll just say, I feel like your design just told my design to hold it’s metaphorical beer.
this post has such a threatening aura
An option to upload a custom photo and/or colour for a tiles would be cool for those who will 3D print tiles

Great minds think alike!
Framework Desktop Front Panel Designer
I made one of these a couple of weeks ago but never got around to publishing it. Mine is more drag and drop based for the tile choices which is perhaps more tedious for making patterns, but to make up for it, it can copy and paste configurations to/from the clipboard and print a shopping list for you.
No help text (resolved, see next post) but you drag tiles from the right onto the panel and click them to rotate them. The links at the bottom copy/paste the design to the clipboard and show a shopping list as seen below.
TBD - (all of these features are implemented now, see next post) use cookies or store the config in the URL for easier return to the configurator and for easier sharing of designs…
OK I implemented:
The base design URL is the same as my previous post.
You can now add custom designs. Any image will do. Image will be centered and fill the tile. A 1:1 aspect ratio is recommended. Files are not actually uploaded to the server but kept locally in your browser.
Nice job! I cross-linked your tile picker in the “More resources” section of my tile picker.
