So I had to replace the top cover of my Framework 16 all the way back in October due to my Framework falling on its corner. Unfortunately, the webcam cable in the new top cover is slightly too short to get into the webcam socket, which I only figured out today. As a result, I can no longer use the webcam on my Framework 16.
Is there a way to fix this?

Hm, maybe you could take a picture of the whole cable run? I’m thinking someplace it might be off, causing it to not reach. Not that FW couldn’t have made a mistake with some replacement cables, but… well, they’d likely order them in huge quantities. So if yours are too short, there needs to be other cables going out, since October at least.
How fixable it is might depend on whether you are, in fact, a cat, or not. 
As I’m imagining it could be just really hard to do without opposable thumbs.
