What projects could I do with a FW 16 Mainboard?

In the most recent round of mystery boxes, I think that I won the entire thing. When I got to the page for it, the only option left was for the FW13 mainboad. That was what I was gonna select anyways, so no biggie. It arrived yesterday, and I was shocked, because I was sent a FW16 board instead, and the only thing wrong with it was a slightly bent heatpipe, on an otherwise working board. A board with a Ryzen 9 7940HS.

All that said, I don’t have a FW16 chassis, or really any other parts, so any ideas for what to do with this board?

The end goal is to make this onto a general home server/NAS/game server etc.

I’ve been looking around for 3D printable cases for the FW16 MB, but since it’s a relatively new product, I’ve come up empty.

If you have any suggestions or input for what I should do, or can point me towards resources, all of it is appreciated. Thanks!!

Also thanks to Framework Computers for this insane win!

Update 1: After looking around more, I’ve been inspired and want to do a sort of sleeper build in an old all-in-one computer terminal style pc. Too bulky to lug around, (since it’ll be a server) but small enough to sit discreetly on a desk or as a “functioning” display piece.

My ideal candidate for this would be the Intertec Superbrain. It is perfect as retro, yet futuristic. Only problem, is that I can’t find one for sale quickly. Anything else in this similar style would be fine, as long as it is broken internally (not gonna alter it if it’s already working) Anything in this general style is what I’m now looking for.

Then get the dual m.2 expansion board and interposer connector so you can have a heap of m.2 drives (if you are prepared to spend the money you could have a total of 26TB …).

An NVME cluster? In THIS economy?!

Jokes aside, the NAS and other bulk storage is going to be 3 or 4 12tb HDDs in some sort of raid config, since I don’t need the relative insane performance from nvme drives. Even if it only gets me 100MBps read/write, I won’t be worried, since the main goal is to have my data centralized, and within arm’s reach, unable to be tampered with and used by Megacorp Inc.
