Windows 11 24H2 turns fan high when laptop is locked

I use Windows 11 24H2 and I cannot hear the fans when I use my laptop.
But when I lock the computer and the display turns off, after 10 seconds the fans start to turn high.
I’ve tried to log the problem.
When the laptop is logged, MsMpEng uses a constant 3% CPU, but worse, dwm starts to use always 8.7% CPU. I don’t know what dwm is doing there.
Any hints on what I could check?
Looks like dwm is the problem but why?

I’m having the same issue as well. Not sure what to check either.

Thanks for posting your issues. The more issues that come up with Windows 11 24H2 the more it makes me believe it is a hot mess of a release from Microsoft. This seems especially true on AMD platforms.

Ideally the desktop window manager (dwm) shouldn’t be doing much other than idling there though tech companies think a locked device now needs to be a billboard of information so users interact with them more. I have just gotten into the habit of hibernating my Framework since it wakes and resumes so quickly.

Would it be “displaying” a screen saver even though the screen is turned off?
