Has anyone else had their input cover turn yellow near the hinges? I’ve had it for about 3 months. The other input cover pictured is brand new straight out of the box.
It’s kinda gross looking.

That kinda looks like UV discoloration, were you using it in the sun? But either way, 3 months is quite a short timespan for yellowing.
Nope I stay indoors so much my doctor told me recently I have vitamin D deficiency.
It’s not in the sun ever.
I forgot what grass feels like.
lol same. But okay, my only other ideas are either it’s dirty, so you could try scrubbing it with some 70% alcohol, or it could be heat degradation of the plastic, but given it seems to be roughly the same degree of yellowing on both the intake and the exhaust I doubt it (on second look the intake still looks somewhat closer to the original color, idk). Maybe talk to support again?
Also yeah you’re extremely unlucky it seems ;(
I have a TPU protective transparent case (second time) for my watch and it turns yellow in six months. I’ve read that white (and maybe gray) Casios with their bio resin also yellow over time.
But on the bright side, if this continues yours will have a futuristic retro look. ![]()
It can be seen better irl but the yellowing is worse on the top were it would receive the most light. I think it’s to do with light. It just seems to be yellowing really fast.
Maybe its the UV from my window but that is very little UV light and it would be weird if that had an effect like this so quickly.
woah retro :0
I have more tan on the exposed part of my left arm than on my right, because I drive a lot. Windows are always closed. No sun burns, but visible tan from many hours of exposure every week for months.
Of course, it’s still nothing compared to someone who works in the sun all day. So the sun does affect things through windows.
Maybe turn it on the other side every now and then to even the color? You can even take it apart and let each part sunbath.
Its actually the same on both sides lol >:p
I’d suggest to turn off the UV-Lamp while working on the FW12… ![]()
sorry for the bad joke
